ALTIMIRA WOLVES!!!

ATHLETICS

SPORTS:

We’ve got team spirit!

Here at Altimira we have a variety of after school competitive sports for our students.  The sports we offer are listed below.  These sports are for 7th and 8th graders and 6th graders are allowed to wrestle.  We compete in the North Valley League as a mid size school.  We consider middle school as an opportunity to emphasize skill development while introducing our student athletes to team strategies specific to each sport.

Requirements to Compete:

We hold our student athletes to a high standard in order to compete.  After all, they are STUDENT Athletes.  In order to compete a student must have a 2.0 GPA and can not be failing any classes.  Also student needs to maintain a clean behavior record during the season of play.  Any infraction of these requirements will result in a temporary probation where a student is allowed to practice but not travel or compete in the contest.  At the end of the probation a students grades/behavior will be reevaluated to determine eligibility.  All students be able to provide proof of insurance.  If a student athlete does not have insurance they can purchase it through the school for $31.  Check or money orders accepted, not cash.

In order to be eligible for tryouts and competition the two documents below must be filled out prior to the first day practice/tryouts are held.  Please include your insurance policy number where stipulated.

HOW PARENTS OF STUDENT ATHLETES CAN HELP!!!

In order to save money and utilize the participation fee in a manner that better serves the student athletes and teams, I have begun organizing parent drivers for all team trips with the exception of Track.  This has saved us thousands of dollars in the past and allows me to provide the teams with newer equipment, tournament appearances, quality first aid materials and an abundance of other wonderful items and spoils!  There are insurance requirements for drivers and drivers must be 25 years of age.  Please click on the links below and print out the documents needed to become a driver.  All paperwork is to be returned to me, Mr. Ryan.  Also, if parent drivers are to used for your student's team, all students must return a letter signed by their parent/guardian stating they are allowed to travel to and from Altimira with another parent.  This document is located below as well.  The only document not currently available here...yet, is the insurance district insurance form.  Please let me know if you need one and I can supply you with one.

Thankyou!
