Dress Code Guidelines-

Listed below are the dress guidelines for the

ceremony and dance. 

The emphasis is on appropriateness and cleanliness.

Girls

Dress: Simple style dresses

              Skirt with blouse or sweater

              Pants outfit

              Modest spaghetti straps or sundresses

                   are acceptable with the appropriate

                  undergarments                                              

              Floor length gowns not recommended

Shoes: Suitable for dancing and walking

Boys

Pants: Slacks, dress cords/jeans in good, clean               

               condition

Shirt: Button front or collared shirt, sweater

Shoes: To coordinate with outfit

Optional: Tie, sweater, vest, cotton jacket/sports jacket

Note: The following are not allowed:

· Formal attire, tuxedoes

· Hats of any kind

· Strapless dress/halter tops/tube tops/mini skirts

· Casual shorts , cutoffs, or pants in poor condition

· No midriff showing

· Students not following these guidelines will not be allowed to participate until they are dressed appropriately

· LIMOUSINES ARE NOT ALLOWED

Event dates
May 31--Memorial Day....NO SCHOOL
June 1--8th grade Promotion Dance for Altimira and Adele Harrison students ONLY! Altimira Middle School MPB, 7 pm to 9:30 (parents please pick up your child promptly).
June 2--8th grade Activity...for all AMS 8th grade students who are not on LOP
due to discipline and/or books overdue.
June 3--Promotion practice 9 am-12:15 pm--PLEASE RETURN by 5:00 pm for 6:30 ceremony.
No seating reservations, however we ask no more than 5 guests per student.

8th Grade End of Year Activity cost information:

• Promotion Ceremony/Cermeonia de Promocion    $7.50
• Promotion Dance/Baile de Promocion        $5.00
• Six Flags Day Trip(includes buffet lunch & transportation)           $37.50
Six Flags--Season Pass holders (must show proof of pass)   $15.00
