Algebra Readiness: This class meets every other day at 2nd period in Room A-2. The curriculum is designed to introduce 8th grade students to the rudimentary concepts in basic Algebra such as operations with integers, factoring, combining like terms and solving for variables in linear equations. Time is provided for review of pre Algebra concepts as needed. Homework will be assigned each day the class meets. (B Days)
RS Math 3: This class meets daily at either 3rd or 4th period. The coursework is designed primarily for students who have struggled with concepts taught previously. This requires that differentiated instruction for individual students be provided. Time for practice and drills on a daily basis provide opportunities for struggling students to sharpen skills such as operations, computation/calculation and critical thinking skills as they apply to Common Core Curriculum. Homework is assigned daily, Monday through Thursday. (A and B Days) Homework will be corrected and scored in class the day it is due and is strongly considered towards progress reports and final grades.
RS Math 2: This class meets daily at either 5th or 6th period. Coursework for this class is quite varied and flexible, depending on the academic needs of individual students. Lessons are planned on a daily basis for concept areas that most students have not mastered. Drill and practice time will be provided daily for basic skill banks such as number facts. Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. (A and B Days) Homework will be corrected and scored in class the day it is due and is strongly considered towards progress reports and final grades.
